At Jungle Bound, sustainability is not just a design principle—it’s a way of life, deeply rooted in the people who bring it to life. Behind every handcrafted tray, shelf, or decor piece is a passionate team that believes in building a better future with their hands, heads, and hearts. We are not a conventional factory. We are a creative ecosystem—a team made up of traditional artisans, engineers, designers, supervisors, and machine operators, each playing a unique role in shaping our vision. What binds us is our shared belief in conscious creation and our commitment to working with natural, sustainable materials like reclaimed wood and bamboo.
Some of our team members bring generations of craftsmanship in wood and bamboo work, while others are fresh graduates and young thinkers who infuse the space with innovation, digital skills, and new perspectives. Experience meets experimentation here every day. Together, we challenge each other, learn constantly, and grow in ways that go beyond technical skill.
As highlighted in our earlier blog, Jungle Bound is proudly woman-led, founded by Pratiksha Shelke, a mechanical engineer and designer who returned from the U.S. to start a brand rooted in sustainability. Her leadership has fostered a workplace culture that celebrates collaboration, equality, and continuous learning—values reflected in the team she’s built around her.
We’re also proud to say our team includes many women at every level, not just in leadership. From machine operation to finishing, assembly to design, women here are not exceptions—they are the standard. Their creativity, discipline, and attention to detail shape every Jungle Bound product.
“We enjoy the creative processes, brainstorming sessions, and even the long days of hard work,” shares one of our team leads. “Because at the end of the day, we know we’re building something that matters.”
Of course, the journey hasn't been easy. Like many small manufacturing units in India, we’ve had our share of challenges—tight deadlines, sourcing issues, machine hiccups, and the occasional last-minute design change. But we’ve also had incredible wins—successful launches, happy customers, new product lines, and the satisfaction of knowing that every piece we ship is a step toward reducing plastic and unsustainable materials in everyday living.
What makes us special is that we operate like a family. Everyone contributes, everyone supports. Some work day shifts, some late nights, but the mission keeps us together. And in the middle of all the hard work, we laugh, share meals, celebrate birthdays, and take pride in the products we send out into the world. Working at Jungle Bound is fun, challenging, and incredibly fulfilling. Whether we’re experimenting with a new joinery technique, laser engraving a fresh design, or discussing how to reduce off-cuts and waste, every task is driven by our shared vision: to craft products that are functional, beautiful, and sustainable. As Jungle Bound continues to grow, so does our team—welcoming new hands and fresh ideas while honoring the skill and spirit of traditional Indian craftsmanship. We are proud to be building more than just products. We are building a movement, one team member, one idea, and one handcrafted piece at a time.
