Meet the Founder: Pratiksha Shelke
Our journey begins with the vision of our founder, Pratiksha Shelke-Bhegade — a mechanical engineer from Pune with a Master’s degree in Automotive Design and Manufacturing from Clemson University, USA. Pratiksha began her career at the global forefront of automotive innovation, first as an intern at BMW, and later with four years in product development at Jeep in the U.S. There, she was immersed in the full spectrum of product creation — from design and engineering to testing and global launch.
But beyond the studio and the production floor, Pratiksha’s passion extended deep into the outdoors. As a trekker, camper, and nature-lover, her connection with the environment was personal and daily. Living abroad, she naturally gravitated towards a sustainable lifestyle — composting, recycling, reducing waste, and embracing conscious consumption.
Still, a nagging question remained: Do personal choices alone move the needle in a world built on unsustainable systems? The root of the problem, she realized, was deeper — materials matter. And so does the system behind them.
This insight became the seed for Jungle Bound. In 2020, Pratiksha returned to Pune with a bold vision — to reimagine how products are designed, made, and consumed. Jungle Bound was born as a studio rooted in sustainability, design integrity, and circular thinking. What began as a small idea has now grown into a promising business that is inspiring a new generation of woman-entrepreneurs.

At the heart of Jungle Bound lies its biggest strength — a dedicated, all-women production team. While many may assume that handling machines, managing production schedules, and delivering fine finishes are traditionally male roles, our women team members prove otherwise — every single day.
These women operate everything from woodworking tools to CNC machines, manage finishing, packaging, inventory, and design, and take full ownership of their responsibilities. Their work is not only technically proficient, but also filled with care, attention to detail, and aesthetic sensitivity — qualities that elevate every Jungle Bound product.
What sets them apart is not just their skill, but their spirit.
They consistently meet deadlines, take initiative during high workloads, and hold themselves accountable for quality. They are always learning new techniques, exploring better ways to build, and supporting one another through every project. Their creativity is reflected in how they approach problem-solving, finishing touches, and custom design work for clients.
Beyond their roles at Jungle Bound, these women also manage their households, raise children, and juggle multiple responsibilities with grace. Their strength, both personal and professional, defines the culture of our company.
